The Artist of the Year Award is a way to recognize the student whom exemplifies a clear talent and understanding in the visual arts. The award recognizes the hard work that students do throughout the year. At the end of the year, Salem Elementary School District #111 and the art staff selects one piece of art from each of the 4th thru 8th grade levels to be honored. The art piece is then professionally framed through the funding of the PTO, and then becomes a permanent segment of our art museum which are displayed throughout the halls of Franklin Park Middle School. On behalf of the visual arts department, Mr. Mallow and Mrs. Mikesell, congratulations to everyone and keep up the great work.
