Third Grade Field Trip to St. Louis Arch and Cahokia Mounds On Friday, May 8, 2009, we took a field trip to Cahokia Mounds and the St. Louis Arch. It was a very soggy day and we missed getting to climb the mounds, but we had a great day despite the weather. We saw a movie about Cahokia, City of the Sun, and visited the museum. After a picnic lunch in the rain, we went to the Gateway Arch. We saw a movie about how the arch was made and we visited the Lewis and Clark museum. The sun was shining as we made our way back to the buses. We learned many things and had a wonderful time.
